Who we are

Ishara is a small studio of songwriters. We make personalised songs as gifts: for a boyfriend's birthday, a parent's anniversary, a sister's wedding, a friend who is moving away. You tell us the story. We write and produce the song, and send it to you on a private gift page.

We run from India and write for people in India and abroad. Our songwriters work in Hinglish, Hindi, English, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Gujarati, and can take other languages on request. You can order on this website, or send us a message on WhatsApp at +91 95098 41998. Many customers prefer to send voice notes, and that works perfectly.

What we believe

Most gifts are used up, put away or forgotten. A song is the gift people keep. It can be played at 2 am when someone misses you, shared with friends, and replayed on every birthday after. We think the best gift is not the most expensive one. It is the one that proves you were paying attention.

So we do not write generic songs with a name dropped in. We read your story closely, and every verse carries a detail that only you could have given us. If your story has a name we are unsure how to pronounce, we ask. If a detail is private, we leave it out. A song should feel like a hug, not a performance.

Some gifts mark a big day, and some mark an ordinary Tuesday. We write for both. A song for no reason at all is often the one that lands hardest.

How we work

Every song follows the same five steps, whether it costs ₹399 or ₹999.

1. 1You share your story by form or WhatsApp voice notes. It takes about 5 minutes.
2. 2We read it, and ask if something is missing.
3. 3Our songwriters write the lyrics. On The Serenade and Studio, we send them on WhatsApp for your OK before we produce the song.
4. 4We compose, arrange, produce and mix the song, and check that names are pronounced right.
5. 5You receive a private gift page with a player, an MP3 download and the lyrics, and we revise until you are happy.
